These are various examples of other work I can do that are not necessarily related to web design although I've used them for the web whenever possible.  I've included only a few samples within each heading but I believe they are representative of what I can do.

If you have any questions, have an interest in any of these or would like me to create an original something for you or someone you know just click-on-over to my contact page and send me a message; I'd love to hear about it and help you make it happen.

Flash Animation:

You may not know what Flash is but I guarantee you that you have seen it in action.  It wasn't that long ago that just about every website you visited Flash was in use, either as the website's intro, a banner, animation or an application; there were even entire websites

created using only Flash, and still are.  Although Flash has many useful applications I use it mainly for its Animation capabilities and for very simple animations at that; and yes, also cause it's fun and that's why these are here, just cause.

Oops!

If you are seeing this information it could be due to one of the following reasons.

  1. You don't have the Adobe Flash Player.

You'll need it to properly view some of the content on this website and on countless other websites that have what's called "rich" content such as videos, movies, animation.
Simply click on the image below which will take you to the Adobe website where you'll be able to download and install the Flash Player

  2. You have the Adobe Flash Player but it's not enabled.

    If this is the case...

If you are using the Internet Explorer browser you should see a yellow/orange-like bar along the top of the browser window.  It should look something like this:

An image example of what the Internet Explorer Information Bar may look like

I added a red rectangle and arrows to highlight it

And, it should say something like:

    • To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options.

Simply click on the bar for more information.

  3. If you are using the Mozilla FireFox web browser click on Tools, from the browser's menu and then click on Add-ons from the sub or dropdown menu; the Add-ons Manager window will open.

In this window select the Plugins option (looks like a Lego block, blue/purple in color) then look for the   Shockwave Flash 10.3.183.5 (disabled)   plugin –your version number may be different– from the list and click on the Enable button; you should then be able to view the Flash content.

Of course, you don't have to download the Adobe Flash Player or enable it, if you already have it, but then you wont get to experience the site the way it was intended; still, it's your computer and you're in control.  So, since I respect and honor your right to choose, with that in mind I created a series of images, with accompanying text, describing what you would see with the Adobe Flash Player. (the images are not to scale)  The first image represents what the Main Window would look like.  The images then continue, going in a clock-wise direction, from the tree branch on the left, to the spider web, down to the circle on the tree trunk and lastly to the house.

Hope you enjoy them,
Peace.

  • Image Example of The Animation Station Banner with play button. When you click on the button a robot riding a penny farthing, an old fashioned bicycle, with a rocket like engine under the seat that blows bubbles as he peddles enters the screen from the left. As the robot peddles across, towards screen right, bubbles shoot out from the bicycles rocket like engine and the masked banner behind him that reads 'The Animation Station' is slowly revealed. Once the robot has exited the screen and the last bubbles have floated away the banner is fully visible.

  • Image example of Time-lapse Simulation with play button. When you click on the play button the plant inside the pot begins to grow in a time-lapse fashion, night and day pass by quickly. The sky visible through the glass window quickly goes from blue to pitch black and the window's frame casts a moving shadow from an unseen sun. This was part of one of the first animated Valentine's Cards I gave my wife; due to my hectic work schedule at the time the flowers never made the finished version so I gave her real ones instead.

  • Image example of Contact Banner Animation with play button. When you click on the play button you hear a series of sounds that accompany the animation. In sound and visual order they are: a dial tone, a number being dialed, the ring of the telephone dialed and the old dial-up sound modems use to make while the words 'Contact Us @' fly in and fade into view. We then hear the sound of a typewriter as the words 'Your Company dot com' appear as if they had been typed.

As it moves across the screen towards the right in quick like paint strokes it reveals the banners name 'Nocturnal Element'. Once done and the banner is fully revealed it drops and fades out of sight; the banner then zooms in to almost twice its size.

Personalized Cards:

How many times have you gone shopping for a gift Card –Holidays, Birthdays, Special Events, etc– and found that you just couldn't find the right one; it either didn't have the right picture on the cover or the words just weren't right.  You might have even gone elsewhere, to another store, looking for just that right Card. I've seen people, simply out of frustration, just grab the closest one they could find to what they wanted to express and leave; unsatisfied but having to buy a Card anyway.  For the most part those Cards are okay, they fulfilled their intended purpose, they get the job done.

But there are times in life when getting the job done means doing it in such a way that the memory lives on, long after the moment has past.  For those moments, what ever they may be for you, give that special someone that special Card.  The one that says to them you took the time to make it just right.  I will sit with you, in person or on the phone, and listen to what you want to say to them. What you want the image and words to express; who they are, what they mean to you.  Together, we will create an original work of art that not only says to them how special they are to you but how special you are as well.
